The 2nd Leduc Scouting Association has been working to keep costs low for youth in their association in order to allow them to take part in activities, trips and continued learning.The association was formed in 1978 and remains sponsored by St. David United Church in Leduc, where meetings and get togethers are held. Although the space is limited for the group, it allows parents, youth and group leaders to all connect and get to know the interests of the youth members better.also allows us to operate with a low overhead so we able to focus our fundraising dollars more directly into the program and keep the costs down for the kids, said Frank MacWhirter, head scout.Members from 2nd Leduc Scouting recently returned from an annual trip Pacific Jam 2015 where youth had the opportunity to take part in a number of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, canoeing.

The date is Sept. 11 and this is the first summer fishing derby for the people of Michikan. There are regular derbies held during the course of the summer but today’s derby is being sponsored by the local recreation committee and offers big prizes most people of this small community normally cannot afford on seasonal employment..
