Shawn Atleo resigns as Assembly of First Nations national chief

Atleo was born in 1967 locally of Ahousaht on the west coast of Vancouver Island in the Clayoquot Sound area. He is one of three Hereditary Chiefs of the Ahousaht First Nation, the most important of the Nuu-chah-nulth nations.
